Fat Rascals at Bettys

Fat Rascal?

Bettys Menu

Only an extensional definition (you've got to taste one) will do, and the only way to experience that is to visit Bettys in Harrogate. Certainly worth the trip, because in addition to Fat Rascals, there are scrumptious breads and pastries galore and very tasty lunches and suppers. Harrogate also has wonderful shops, interesting cafes, colossal old neighborhoods, and best of all, the seven Yorkshire Dales.

Sorry...a Fat Rascal is, well, something to eat and observe. It is part grain bread, part sweet cookie, part hardy scone...but it is the combination that makes it so good. A Fat Rascal would fill a small size saucer.

Operationally, a Fat Rascal is something you should have daily, although doing so entails at least a 2 mile walk at a brisk pace, or some other suitable exercise.

Go for a coffee, order the most wonderful pastry taste you can imagine. Then multiply the taste and texture of what you get by 4 and you are approaching the neighborhood of a Fat Rascal from Bettys.
